Welcome to the NEW YNA Mobile app. This is where you manage your work on the go, from setting your availability, to picking up shifts, to submitting timesheets.

Getting Started & Login

How do I download the YNA Mobile app?

Search “YNA” in the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android), then download and install.

I already have the app, do I need to do anything?

Just make sure your app is updated so you have the latest features and improvements.

How do I log in?

Simply use your YNA Online username and password, you’re already set up.

Why do I need to select my location?

This helps us show you the right shifts and opportunities in your area.

What if I don’t know my login details?

No stress. Reach out to the YNA team and we’ll help you get sorted.

Can I use Face ID or fingerprint login?

You can. We’ll prompt you when you log in, it makes things quicker each time.

Why do I sometimes need to log in again?

It’s just us keeping your account secure. Enter your details again and you’re straight back in.

Where can I manage my settings?

Head to the More” section. Everything’s there: Face ID, password updates, your staff ID, and logout.

 
 

Home Screen

What is the home screen for?

Think of it as your hub for shift management. It has what’s coming up next for you, and what shifts you might want to pick up next.

How do I see my next shift?

You’ll see it at the top under “What’s up next.”
Tap it to view full details.

What if I don’t have any shifts booked?

We’ll guide you. You can either set your availability and we will show you shifts that best fit you or you can explore all the available shifts. 

Available shifts can be found on the Home” screen under Ready to add some extra shifts, or in "Schedulein the "Open Shifts Tab".

How do I request a shift?

Simply tap “Request” on the shift you’d like. It’s as easy as that.

What does “Accept” mean on a shift?

That shift is ready to go. Tap Accept” and it’s yours instantly.

 
 

Schedule & Availability

What can I do in the Schedule tab?

This is where you plan your time, set your availability and find shifts that fit around you.

How do I set my availability?

Setting your availability tells us when you’re open to work so we can show you the right shifts at the right time.

Step by step

1. Tap time block

Your day is split into three parts:

  • Morning  
  • Afternoon  
  • Evening  

Each block starts as grey.

2. Choose your availability

  • Tap once to set as "Available"
  • Tap again to set as Unavailable” 

You’ll see the colour change so you always know what’s been set.

You can also select: “Available all day” or “Unavailable all day”

3. Save your changes

Tap Done” to lock it in.

4. Make it faster by coping your availability

Use "More Options" to copy from another day. You can set multiple days at once or apply your availability across the week in one go. Planning time off? Mark a full week or month as unavailable.

What views can I use?

Switch between week”, month”, or “list”. Whatever works best for you.

Helpful tips

You’re in control here. Set your availability once, and we’ll help match you with shifts that fit.

You can update your availability anytime. The more accurate it is, the better your shift matches will be.

Shift Management

How do I view shift details?

You can tap into any shift. Everything you need is right there.

Can I get directions to a shift?

Yes. Tap the map and we’ll open directions for you in your Map’s app.

What information will I see?

You’ll see:

  • Role 
  • Location  
  • Date and time 
  • Any additional details or updates 

All laid out clearly so it’s easy to scan.

How do I manage a booked shift?

Open the shift you are booked into and you’re in control. Check in, track progress, and submit your timesheet.

What do the shift statuses mean?

Your shift moves through these stages: Booked → Active → Submitted → Approved. So you always know where things are at.

When can I check in?

Check in one hour before your shift starts, you’re good to go.

How do I finish a shift?

Simply tap "Finish Shift” when you’re done.

Can I add notes during a shift?

You certainly can. Add progress notes anytime.

Can I report an incident?

Yes. Tap “Report Incident” and follow the prompts.

Can I include photos?

Absolutely. Add photos to notes or incidents as needed.

Timesheets & Attendance

Where can I find my timesheets?

All your timesheets are in one place under the “Timesheets” section.

At the top, you can filter by:

  • All 
  • Pending (waiting for approval) 
  • Approved 

So you always know where things stand.

What information can I see on a timesheet?

Each timesheet gives you a quick snapshot, including:

  • Date and time 
  • Role 
  • Location  
  • Total hours 
  • Status  

Your most recent shifts appear first, so it’s easy to stay on top of things.

How do I open a timesheet?

Just tap on any timesheet to open it. You’ll see your full shift details and the total time that will be submitted.

How do I add a photo of my paper timesheet?

Simply tap the “camera icon” on a timesheet to quickly take or upload a photo. This is helpful if you’ve completed a paper timesheet and need to include it.

How do I submit a timesheet?

When you’re ready, use the options at the bottom of the screen. Your timesheet can be authorised in two ways:

  1. PIN approval (by a registered authoriser) 
  2. Signature (if they’re not registered) 

Can I submit a paper timesheet through the app?

Yes.

If you’ve attached a photo of your paper timesheet, you’ll see the option to submit it directly in the app.

What does my timesheet status mean?

Your timesheet will move through stages so you can track progress:

  • Pending → Waiting for approval 
  • Approved → Signed off and complete 

What if I need to make changes after submitting?

If something doesn’t look right, contact the YNA team and we’ll help sort it out.

Keep your timesheets up to date and submit them promptly, it helps ensure everything is processed smoothly and on time.

Privacy & Security

Is my information secure in the app?

Yes. Your information is protected with secure systems designed to keep your data safe.

Why do I need to log in again sometimes?

From time to time, we’ll ask you to log in again to keep your account secure. It’s a quick check to make sure it’s really you.

Who can see my information?

Only authorised people can access your information, based on their role and what they need to do their job.

Are photos and notes secure?

Yes. Anything you share like notes, updates, or photos is stored securely and only visible to the right people.

Why do I need to enable location services?

Location is only used when needed, like confirming attendance for a shift. It helps keep things accurate and accountable.

What should I do if I notice something unusual?

We take privacy and data security seriously. If something doesn’t look right, please contact the YNA team. We’ll take a look straight away.
